Yoga Trapeze

Last week I had the pleasure of becoming the owner of a yoga trapeze. First pulling it out of the box was a little overwhelming because I had no idea what I was getting myself into. All I knew was that I needed a way to relieve the pain in my back and to, hopefully, find a way to avoid surgery.

So here I sat with this trapeze and two sets of handles. The first thing I needed to do was decide where to put this. I couldn't put it in my living room because my ceiling is almost 20 feet high. The dining room isn't big enough for this as well as my office. I decided that it would go in my room. This would allow me to practice in private and to create a relaxing environment. The first night I set it up and set out to do the "simple" inversion. After a few tries I was able to wrap my legs properly so that I didn't fall to the ground, again. I held the inversion for several minutes, multiple times. I immediately began to feel relief in my back.

The next morning I didn't have the same pain that I was used to waking up with. I was able to get up and start my day a lot sooner than normal. That night I set out to do the inversions again and was able to get the hang of it a lot sooner. I only fell on my face once! I felt better afterward and noted even less pain the next morning. On the third night I incorporated it into my regular yoga and used the trapeze to deepen some of the stretches that I was completing. It helped me to not struggle as much and I even attempted handstands. I haven't done handstands in years!

I would highly recommend this product to anyone, especially if you suffer from back pain. It doesn't hurt my knee and it helps the pain tremendously. If you live in a warmer area I would suggest the stand that can be purchased.
