What do I do?

So many times I get asked who I am and what it is that I exactly do. Well now I am going to tell you.

I am a mom to three wonderful children. Everyday I am responsible for making sure these children have everything that they need. As my oldest son would say I am a personal Uber. Teenagers mean busy times for parents. Driving to school events, sports, friends houses, dates, and college fairs. It also means taking a step back when they need space or prefer their friends over you.

I am a "bonus" mom to three wonderful children. One of these children is at my house full time. I make sure that he has all he needs. This child looks to me like a mom but knows that I will not push anything. That is the same for all of them. It is not my job to replace anyone, it is just to be there as an extension, to be that third cheerleader. The other two are not at my house but know that they can call on me in times of need.

I am a wife. That means supporter, cheerleader, and all around helper. I can't say cook because anyone who knows me knows that's not my jam!

I am a student. I am in grad school for counseling. It is a lot of work but so worth it. My purpose in school is to be able to help others.

I have lived a life that I would never wish on anyone. I struggled to find who I am. I have done whatever I needed to fit the mold of others or what I thought others wanted me to be. I would do things I wasn't always comfortable with because I thought it was what I had to do to have friends. I thought if I was weird, at all, that no one would like me. I felt that I was not allowed to be me. It wasn't until recently that I felt that I could be myself. I have a dry sense of humor, don't really make jokes, am weird, will spend days in books over talking to people. I prefer to stay in my house over going anywhere, it gives me anxiety. I don't like to yell but will be loud and banter back and forth with everyone at home.

I am no longer afraid to talk about my illnesses, disabilities, mental illnesses, and things that I feel passionate about.I don't feel like I have to wear makeup for others but that I can wear it for me.I do wear makeup for work though because I do not want my rash scaring the kids. I learned that it is okay to wear sweats everywhere or dress up if I want. So what else is there to me?

I am a business owner. I am a health and fitness coach. It seems so simple, right? Truth is there is so much more to it. Creating a healthy lifestyle is so much more than just eating right and working out. It is mindset, personal relationships, and professional relationships. It is having a support system. What happens to all the hard work if you do not have the right mindset? What if you do not have the tools to fix your relationship with food and other around you? What about support, do you have a support system?

The reason that I show up every day is to help you. By talking to you, writing, and sharing it shows who I am. I am a mom with four kids at home. The youngest is twelve and the oldest is eighteen. I have lupus, fibromyalgia, migraines, endometriosis, osteoarthritis, arthrofibrosis, and degenerative joint disease. That means that I can't live a healthy lifestyle, right? Wrong! In fact, my doctor says that my daily exercise routine is helping me. It keeps everything mobile and prevents issues from rapidly excelling. Does that mean things won't get worse? It is unknown. I had a knee replacement that failed within the first three months. I couldn't workout. Food was my solace. I had to have gastric sleeve surgery. Does that mean I took the easy way out? Not a chance! I still have to work on my relationship with food, daily. I still have to be conscious of what I eat. My tool is not an open invitation to have whatever I want. I still have to workout every day to lose weight, to build muscle, to feel good.

Each day I take time for myself. Selfish? Not at all. If I do not take the time for myself then how can I help you? I cannot effectively help you if I do not help me. I read personal and professional development. Impossible to keep track of? Not at all. I journal. I write down my thoughts, actions, and plans. I watch webinars, participate in meetings. I spend my time learning. Then I implement my plans. I implement what I have learned. Now for the nitty-gritty of my business.

I am a coach. I have a company that provides my product. Now you may be thinking...pyramid scheme. How is this chick different from the rest? What does she really have to offer? Well to answer that you have to get to know me, know what I do. Am I here to sell you products? No. I am selling me, what I have to offer to you. The products and the opportunity are bonuses for you. My company provides products but it does not provide me the script to help you. That comes from me, from my heart. I spend my days learning so that I can help you because I want you to be able to achieve your best.

My team offers community support. We create friendships. We cheer each others triumphs and support struggles. It is not just about diet and exercise. We help each other through everything. Why? Because that is what friends, and a good coach, do (does).

So why pay for my services? It is simple. If you have chosen me for your coach then it is because I have something to offer that others don't. There is something that speaks to you about what I do and how I do it. I am not here to sugar coat things for you. I will tell you like it is. If you want I will evaluate your food journals. We can sit down and see what can be changed to get the results that you are aiming for. I will take time out of my days just for you.

Now you may be thinking that there is no chance that I can offer all of my clients that 1:1 time but I will. If you live on the east coast and the only time you have free is 6AM on Saturday then I will be up and online or with my phone in hand to chat. Yes I am willing to be available 24 hours a day for you. Why? Because I want you to be successful in all that you are doing. For you to be successful I need to be there for you, and I am.

But why should I buy this from you if you are going to offer me your time? Buying the tools provided by my company allow a baseline to begin your transformation. The rest comes from hard work and heart. It comes from trusting me to help you.

So if you are ready to take that leap then let's do it. You don't have to wait for next Monday or next year. We can start today! I am here to do everything beside you, to be your biggest cheerleader. I am here to help you achieve your goals. Will it be hard? At some times it will be harder than others. Will it be worth it? YES! So let's do this, together. I am ready whenever you are! Let's jump in together and crush those goals!
