Weight loss is a roller coaster

For years I have struggled with my weight. If there was a diet, I tried it. Cabbage diet anyone? I worked out in gyms, at home, and outside. 17 years ago I ordered a DVD workout from a middle of the night infomercial and saw great results from it. It was the workout I used post pregnancy to lose the baby weight. A few years later I saw another infomercial and thought the workout would be awesome. I got it from a friend and realized that it wasn't my jam.

Several years later I was on an anniversary get away and couldn't sleep. The hotel didn't have much in the way of channels so I found myself, once again, watching infomercials. I had seen a trainer that my husband, friends, and kids got great results from and thought it would be fun. I mean who wouldn't love a workout where you can dance?! So I bought it. When it arrived I couldn't wait to get started. I took my measurements and weighed myself. Of course, I was not fond of what the scale had to say. I did the workouts, ate according to plan, and drank the shakes. I lost 30 pounds. Then surgeries happened....
Years later I decided to be a coach. I joined part of an exclusive coach test group for a program that included lifting weights and HIIT (high intensity interval training). Once again I completed all the workouts, drank the shakes, and followed the meal plan. When I stepped on the scale for the final weigh in I wanted to get down on myself but I couldn't. My pants were too big and the pair of pants that I had used was loose around the waist. I truly think the only thing that held up the pants was the loose skin that I have around my stomach. It was my biggest triumph. I became stronger and happier.
If you ever doubt what you can do with hard work and consistency take a look at these pictures. They speak for themselves. If I can do it, so can you!
